NDB Bank’s revolutionary digital banking platform NDB NEOS surpassed the milestone of Rs. 100 billion in transaction value with over 100,000 users around the island.

NDB Bank is leading the digital transformation of the banking industry in Sri Lanka. The bank is constantly exploring the latest technology and market trends and investing in R&D in order to deliver the best experience for its customers. Accordingly, with the introduction of NEOS, a significant number of the bank’s customers have switched to conducting nearly all banking transactions from the safety of their homes. This has led to the total NEOS subscriber base surpassing 100,000 customers.

NDB NEOS, which comprises the bank’s mobile and online banking platforms, is the flagship digital offering of the bank. The enhancements introduced to the NDB NEOS platform during the recent past are industry-firsts, with the implementation of QR payment-enabled NEOS Pay feature along with the VKYC based online account opening feature for the bank’s clientele.

NDB’s AI-enabled video KYC (vKYC) based online account opening facility within NDB NEOS, enables customers to open NDB accounts from the comfort and safety of home, without having to visit a branch. Additionally, the bank also became the first in the industry to tie up with the Credit Information Bureau (CRIB) in order to create a hassle-free and convenient service in which the bank’s customers can register and request for their individual credit reports (iReport) and individual credit score reports (CRIB Score) from wherever they are in Sri Lanka through NDB NEOS.

When social distancing was important in order to stay safe, NDB Bank introduced NEOS Pay with NDB NEOS, a QR payment method allowing customers to make payments to merchants and pay bills on the same platform. NDB NEOS is the first app in Sri Lanka to enable banking and merchant transactions in one single app. Adding further convenience, customers of other banks can register for NDB NEOS using their other bank account details via the JustPay network. Customers can also view their entire portfolio, including shareholding details and open fixed deposits online via NDB NEOS.

NDB NEOS was awarded the Most Innovative Digital Banking Platform in Sri Lanka 2021 by the Global Business Outlook – UK.

NDB Bank, which was crowned as ‘Sri Lanka’s Best Bank 2021’ by the prestigious Global Finance Magazine of USA, and recognised as ‘The Bank of the Year Sri Lanka’, by The Banker Magazine UK, is the fourth largest listed bank in Sri Lanka and the parent company of the NDB Group.
