NDB PRV launches NDB Islamic Privilege Banking

NDB Privilege Banking recently launched its ‘NDB Islamic Privilege Banking’ unit in an effort to provide diversified services to the bank’s Privilege Customers in accordance with the “Sharia” principles and within the Central Bank guidelines.

Privilege Banking is NDB’s symbol of commitment towards delivering complete financial solutions through exclusive Relationship Management across the customer’s entire wealth portfolio. With the opening of the NDB Islamic Privilege Banking Unit, the bank hopes to create further means in which to address the customer’s specific needs.

The Islamic Banking Unit of National Development Bank PLC was successfully launched on 12 August 2014 under the brand name ‘NDB Shareek’. NDB Shareek is the recent new entrant to the Sri Lankan Islamic Banking Industry and has won prestigious award titles as the Emerging Islamic Finance entity for the year 2015 under Islamic Finance Forum South Asia held in 2016, Silver Award for Turnaround Entity of the Year 2016 and a Bronze Award for the Islamic Banking Window/Unit of the year 2016.
