NDB clinches top Integrated Annual Report Award at SAFA BPA Awards

National Development Bank PLC’s 2020 Annual Report “Everyone. Everywhere.” emerged as the joint winner in Integrated Reporting category across the South Asian Region, at the recently concluded Best Presented Annual Report Awards, Integrated Reporting Award and SAARC Anniversary Award for Corporate Governance Disclosures in 2020, conducted by the South Asian Federation of Accountants. 

This award is an affirmation of the excellence that NDB has attained in integrated reporting over the eight year journey of such reporting at the Bank. The Bank additionally won a Certificate of Merit in the Private Banks (including co-operative banks) category.

These two regional awards come to NDB in the aftermath of having won eight awards in total for the 2020 Annual Report, four awards at the CA Sri Lanka Annual report Awards and four at CMA Sri Lanka Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards, which include the Gold Award for Integrated Reporting: Best Disclosure on Capital Management at CA Sri Lanka and Winner of Five Excellent Reports at CMA Sri Lanka.

NDB endeavours to better its corporate reporting year on year, with strong focus on transparency, conciseness, relevance and simplicity as core elements in its reporting. The Bank bases such reporting on internationally accepted frameworks and best practices such as Integrated Reporting of the International Integrated Reporting Council, Global Reporting Initiatives, etc., whilst fully complying by applicable mandatory disclosure requirements.

NDB Bank was crowned “Sri Lanka’s Best Bank 2021” by the prestigious Global Finance Magazine of USA, and was named the “Best Digital Bank 2021” at the Asiamoney Best Bank Awards for Sri Lanka.
