National Development Bank PLC recently conducted its Investor and Analysts Earnings Call on 20 August, following the release of its financial results for the first half of the financial year ended 30 June 2024. Led by NDB Bank Director and Chief Executive Officer Kelum Edirisinghe along with the bank’s senior management team, the virtual event was held via Zoom. It featured a detailed presentation by the CEO on the performance of the first half of 2024, followed by an interactive Q&A session aimed at addressing participants’ queries and concerns.

This highly anticipated event, managed seamlessly by NDB’s Investor Relations Team, attracted a diverse audience, including research analysts, stockbrokers, and fund managers. NDB has been consistently organising these quarterly webinars since 2014, showcasing its commitment to transparency and accountability in investor communications. Transcripts and playback videos of the calls are readily available on the bank’s website for easy reference.

The Investor and Analysts Earnings Call provided valuable insights into NDB’s financial performance, strategic initiatives, and prospects, fostering transparency and trust among investors and the broader financial community. The CEO among other things commented on the bank’s way forward with solid focus on three key strategic imperatives, viz: optimising cost of funds, enhancing fee based income through transaction banking and enhancing portfolio quality.
