National Development Bank PLC has reintroduced its iconic campaign “Salli Ratin - Thagi Apen” to promote and encourage the channelling of foreign remittances through the Western Union money transfer platform.

In this ongoing promotion, customers collecting Western Union remittances from NDB branches are eligible to receive mobile reloads. The campaign coincides with the ongoing festive season and will be available until 7 January 2024.

Recognising the challenges in the remittance landscape in Sri Lanka, NDB aims to provide a more practical and beneficial solution to customers. This incentive is expected to boost remittances of foreign funds through formal banking channels, which make a valid contribution towards enhancing the official foreign reserves of Sri Lanka, which is critical to the country at this juncture. Additionally, NDB brings the utmost convenience to customers.

The incentive offered features mobile reloads worth up to Rs. 250, varying upon the amount remitted via Western Union. Building on the success of its previous campaign carried out at the beginning of 2023, the bank anticipates a positive response to this updated approach.

In addressing the remittance pain points faced by customers, NDB’s remittance campaign, with its mobile reload offers, reflects a strategic approach to providing tangible benefits, ensuring that customers not only receive financial incentives but also experience increased flexibility in managing their funds. Additionally, NDB NEOS provides customers with the added benefit of managing their funds form wherever they are.
