The bank provides a higher interest rate of 8% for a 12-month USD SDA, 6.50% for GBP and AUD, 5.75% for EUR and 4.50% for CAD.

NDB also introduced the most convenient way in which the bank’s clients can receive money via Western Union with just one phone call or by sending a message through the NDB NEOS app. The funds received will be credited to the respective individual’s account in just five minutes. Furthermore, NDB is also provided exciting prizes in the form of a free lunch bag for those who receive money at NDB Branches via Western Union in the month of April. NDB was also the first bank to introduce an AI technology based VKYC verification option for opening accounts through its NEOS app for the ease for Sri Lankans based overseas providing a hassle free banking experience.
