NDB Kurunegala Branch Manager Seevali Illangasinghe hands over the cheque to Jepin Nona from Kegalle
NDB Bank recently presented Rs. 100,000 to the monthly lucky winner of “සල්ලි රටින් දිනුම අෙපන්.”
Accordingly, Jepin Nona from Kegalle became the lucky monthly winner.
During the first week, Sam Augstine (Kandana), Renuka Mendis (Wattala), Nimal Dehiwalage (Kochchikade), Roshan Sujeewa (Kalutara), M. Ferreira (Thalawathugoda), K. Chamara (Welimada) and Tharake Wickramanayake (Yatiyantota) emerged as the daily winners of a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 while Rajanathan Krishnaruban (Trincomalee) emerged the lucky Rs. 50,000 weekly winner. The second week saw Nadeesha Udagepalegedara (Hikkaduwa), Chamil Gallege (Seeduwa), Roshini Weerasooriya (Ratmalana), Alagarajasivamani (Yakkalamulla), Chamila Liyadipita (Welimada), H.M. Hansika Dalanjali (Hettipola) and Withanapaliti Sanjeewa (Ragama) winning the daily Rs. 10,000 while Mubeen Musrib (Pettah) won the lucky Rs. 50,000 at the weekly draw.
During the third and fourth weeks, the daily winners of Rs. 10,000 were Muthukuda Arachchige Ruwan (Kurunagala), Mohamed Sifiyan (Nattandiya), Withange Malka (Kalutara), T. Jalini (Chenkalady), Abesiri Munasinghe (Galle), Pushpa Kumari (Menikhinna), M. Niranjala (Nattandiya), D. Punci Appuhamy (Badulla), Jery Thurairajah (Chavakachchery), Mohamed Marjuna (Nattandiya), Damayanthe Silva (Bandarawela), Merina Gunasekara (Narahenpita), Dilum Kaushal Rathnayake (Minuwangoda) and S. Paramalingam (Wattegama).
The lucky weekly winners of Rs. 50,000 were Hashika Madushani (Nattandiya) and Geraldine (Wellawatte).
NDB Bank launched this campaign to encourage inward remittances by providing cash prizes worth over Rs. 1 million for customers who collect their Western Union remittances from NDB Bank or any of the Bank’s registered agencies including Regional Development Bank (RDB), Singer Sri Lanka, Sarvodaya Development Finance Ltd. (SDF) and Citizen Development Business Finance (CDB). Accordingly, a total of 979 locations (Sub Agent – 866 and NDB 113) are available to receive remittances.
Any beneficiary of Western Union remittance who collects their remittances from NDB Bank branches or any of the above agent locations will be eligible to a lottery draw to win Rs. 100,000 monthly, Rs. 50,000 weekly and Rs. 10,000 daily.
Titled “සල්ලි රටින් දිනුම අෙපන්”, the promotional campaign will run until 22 July. Western Union beneficiaries will be entitled to win a chance to be one of the 61 daily winners, nine weekly winners and two monthly winners.
Based on the customer eligibility Western Union customers who collect their remittances from NDB Bank branches and its agents will be entitled for the Government incentives to encourage inward worker remittances to Sri Lanka.
As a part of NDB’s efforts to encourage inward remittances through formal banking channels as a responsibility towards the country, the Bank is constantly striving to make the lives of its clients and stakeholders easier and more convenient and thus, has also introduced the most convenient way in which the Bank’s clients can receive money via Western Union.
