In an effort to further its commitment towards advancing export excellence, NDB Bank and NDB Investment Bank (NDBIB) have joined forces with the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) as the Silver Sponsor for the esteemed ‘Presidential Export Awards 2023.’

The formalisation of this collaboration took place on 27 October, as NDB Bank CEO/Director Dimantha Senevirathne symbolically presented the sponsorship cheque to Export Development Board Chairman/CEO Dr. Kingsley Bernard, at the EDB headquarters.

The 25th edition of the Presidential Export Awards (PEA), considered the pinnacle of recognition for exporters in Sri Lanka, is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 23 November, at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH). This year’s ceremony aims to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of the country’s top exporters to the export sector and economic development for the financial years 2021/22 and 2022/23. The awards will be conferred in two main categories—Overall Awards and Products & Services Sector Awards for each financial year—by President Ranil Wickremesinghe.

This corporate sponsorship and partnership between NDB, NDBI, and EDB is poised to play a pivotal role in propelling the success of PEA 2023, underscoring the commendable dedication of NDB Bank to enhancing Sri Lanka’s SME advancement.

The exporter community eagerly anticipates the Presidential Export Awards 2023, an event organised by EDB under the guidance of State Minister of Investment Promotion Dilum Amunugama, and Ministry of Investment Promotion Secretary M.M. Nayeemudeen.
