NDB has been honoured as the “Technology Resilient Company of the Year 2024” under the banking – Local category at the prestigious Digital Trust Awards 2024, organised by ISACA. ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association) is a renowned international professional association dedicated to IT governance. The Sri Lanka Chapter of ISACA inaugurated the “Digital Trust Award” to acknowledge organisations that have demonstrated exceptional performance in Information Security. NDB emerged as the “Winner” in the banking category. The trust and confidence the customers have in NDB as a secure banking partner are further affirmed by this award, which further solidifies NDB’s position as the most trusted banking partner in the digital realm.
The esteemed panel of judges, comprising industry experts, including ICT legal pioneer Jayantha Fernando, has judged NDB as the winner, recognising its outstanding security controls and innovative strategies implemented to combat today’s ever-evolving threat landscape.
NDB’s victorious team competing for the title at the judging session led by Rasika Sampath included Pasindu Bandara, Kalhari Gamage, Ranith Dhararatne and Dilshan Lankathilake.
NDB has a history of excellence in IT security, having won multiple awards on the Security front in the recent past. NDB was the first bank to achieve the latest ISO 270001:2022 for its Information Security Management System and remains the only bank in Sri Lanka to be certified in ISO 23301 for its Business Continuity Management System (BCMS). Additionally, NDB received recognition at the National Best Quality Software Awards (NBQSA) last year for its in-house developed Secure 360 application, which manages the bank’s information security program.
