NDBIB appoints new Head of Corporate Advisory

NDB Investment Bank Ltd. (NDBIB), the unrivalled leader in investment banking in Sri Lanka, announced the appointment of Saminda Weerasinghe as its Head of Corporate Advisory.

Saminda is a strategic management expert with 20 years of extensive experience in Corporate Finance, Transaction Advisory, Private Equity Structuring and more. He commenced his career at Ernst & Young Sri Lanka, where he was instrumental in multiple advisory and capital raisings for start-ups, M&A and restructuring of distressed companies for multiple clients in Sri Lanka and Maldives.

 He also had a brief stint at Ernst & Young Singapore during this period and subsequently moved to Acuity Partners Ltd. Thereafter, he moved to Asia Capital PLC where he served as Chief Strategy Officer and spearheaded capital raising for several projects. 

Prior to joining NDBIB, he held directorship positions at Acquest Ltd., New Anthoney’s Farms Ltd. and Kasper Global Ltd., where he contributed immensely to the operations and growth of these entities whilst gaining a vast experience in multiple business sectors.

He is a CFA Charterholder and is also a Fellow Member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK).
