NSB opens branch in Katuwana

National Savings Bank recently opened a branch at Katuwana at the “Citro” Building, Urubokka Road, Katuwana.

Minister of Mahaweli, Agriculture, Irrigation and Rural Development, Internal Trade, Food Security, Consumer Welfare and State Minister of Defence Chamal Rajapaksa graced this occasion as the Chief Guest.   

NSB Chairperson Keasila Jayawardena, Senior Deputy General Manager K B Wijeyaratne, Deputy General Manager (Operations) Ajith Peiris, Assistant General Manager (Operations III) Nalika Wijesinghe, and Regional Manager S B Suranga were also present amongst the distinguished guests of the occasion.    

The new branch, which consists of a spacious premise and modern banking amenities including an ATM will ensure a quality customer service by catering to all financial needs of the people of the area.    

The first day deposits were accepted by the invitees and the first deposit was handed over to the Minister of Mahaweli, Agriculture, Irrigation and Rural Development, Internal Trade, Food Security, Consumer Welfare and State Minister of Defence Rajapaksa by Ananda Kularatne.  

National Savings Bank, the only bank in the country that offers 100% Government guarantee, has commenced expanding its branch network substantially and accordingly, the Katuwana branch marks the 258th branch of the NSB branch network.
