New CEO at Sanasa Life Insurance

W.A. Nuwanpriya Gunawardena

Sanasa Life Insurance Company PLC has announced the appointment of W.A. Nuwanpriya Gunawardena as the new CEO an elevation from its previous position as Chief Operating Officer.

He succeeds Ivan Rajeendra Kumar Nicholas who ceased to function as CEO from 6 December according to the direction issued by the Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka. Nicholas was appointed as CEO in November 2022.

The Company said new CEO Gunawardena is an inspiring professional who began his career in IT and rose to become a corporate leader. With over 15 years of experience, he has successfully transitioned from technical roles to the executive suite, showcasing his ability to integrate IT expertise with strategic management.
