New chairman appointed for SANASA Life Insurance Company

T. Karunasena was appointed as the new Chairman of SANASA Life Insurance Company Ltd. from 13 February. He is an immense personality in the field of banking and finance administration and as per the request of former Chairman of SANASA Life Insurance Dr. P.A. Kiriwandeniya, he joined the Board of Directors of SANASA Development Bank in 2007.

He served the organisation as a Senior Director up to 2012 and from then onwards he was a Director of the SANASA Life Insurance Company Ltd., in which he finally emerged as the Chairman. Karunasena is a proud product of University of Kelaniya who has obtained an Economics (Special) degree. He joined People’s Bank as a management trainee in March 1973.

In 2006 he was appointed as the Senior Assistant General Manager and in the very same year he retired from his career after serving the banking field for 33 solid years. In addition to supporting SANASA as a strong, confident leader T. Karunasena has joined the governing council of Wayamba University of Sri Lanka.
