Ninewells Hospital partners with NITF to offer special services to Agrahara beneficiaries

Ninewells Hospital, Sri Lanka’s only specialised private women and childcare hospital, recently marked a significant milestone by entering into an agreement with National Insurance Trust Fund (NITF). The newly formed partnership between two organisations will facilitate NITF Agrahara beneficiaries with access to child birth related services offered by Ninewells Hospital at special discounted rates. 

NITF Agrahara represents one of the largest groups of health insurance beneficiaries with over 700,000 state sector employees registered under the program. The MOU pertaining to the partnership was recently signed between the officials of Ninewells Hospital and NITF. 

Commenting on this important partnership, Dr. Vibash Wijeratne, the Medical Director of Ninewells Hospital said, “Public service employees form an integral part of our country’s workforce and their contribution to the nation’s progress is crucial. It gives us great pleasure to partner with the NITF to show our appreciation and gratitude towards them. Childbirth is the most significant occurrence to a family and the best possible service is what we all expect. Our partnership with NITF now enables the Agrahara beneficiaries to access our services at special rates which will add much value to the benefits offered by the scheme. I take this opportunity to thank NITF for their sincere efforts in facilitating this.”

In addition to providing Agrahara beneficiaries with special discounted rates for childbirth related services, Ninewells Hospital will also be providing discounted rates for hearing aids and eye care services offered by the hospital.
