Janashakthi Insurance PLC has announced the appointment of Niranjan Thangarajah as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer with effect from 20 June.

The Company’s incumbent CEO is Ravi Liyanage.

Niranjan has held prominent positions at leading local and multinational organisations such as Citi Bank, National Development Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, and most recently, Sanasa Development Bank PLC, where he served as Deputy CEO.

With over 25 years in the financial sector, Niranjan is a seasoned business leader with a comprehensive background in Retail, SME, and Corporate business management.

His extensive expertise in business and risk management, coupled with a proven track record of building and leading high-performance teams, positions Janashakthi Insurance well for sustainable business growth.

Niranjan is a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) and holds an MBA from the American University of Asia, as well as an MSc in Professional Accounting from the University of London.
