Opportunity for investors: Forum on maximising profits through understanding tax reforms

The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) has organised a forum to discuss changes to the tax system which were recently announced by the Government. The forum will be conducted by senior representatives of the Inland Revenue Department and PWC Sri Lanka, and will take place on 18 February from 8.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hilton Colombo Residences.

The event would offer a perspective on maximising the benefits of the many concessions offered while offering comprehensive clarity on the announced reforms. The content discussed will cover areas such as tax concessions and exemptions, taxable income, the utilisation of tax losses, industry specific provisions tax and a sector-wise analysis of the recent tax reforms and relevant implications. 

Commissioner General Pradeep Silva and Deputy Commissioners Nihal Wijewardana and Nandana Kumara from the Department of Inland Revenue are the faculty at the event along with PWC Sri Lanka Tax Services Director Charmaine Tillekeratne.
