Pan Asia Bank, has created a history by becoming the first bank to be certified by LankaPay to make payments to the Department of Commerce via the LankaPayOnline payment platform.

It said payments to the Department of Commerce can now be performed by simply logging into Pan Asia Business Internet Banking, making a significant contribution towards enabling a cashless society. This facility, offered by Pan Asia Bank, will enable companies to save their time in making payments digitally in a short amount of time and instead utilise their valuable time to boost their business by paying attention to more lucrative opportunities.

The Department of Commerce facilitates the registration for locally instituted companies to commence exporting their products where payments (and renewal payments) for such registrations are accepted. Through the bank’s innovative move to enable such payments, Pan Asia Bank’s customers are benefitted to complete transactions directly with the Department of Commerce through the Bank without a hassle. LankaPay is spearheading digital payments to Government bodies with the intention of changing traditional payment methods so that convenience is provided to customers in a digital world.

Pan Asia Bank Chief Manager – Deposit Mobilisation Buddhika Perera said: “We understand and fulfil the needs of our diverse customers. One of the requirements expressed by our clients, especially due to the challenges faced during the economic crisis, was to be able to export their products in a hassle-free manner. Therefore, we worked closely with Lanka Clear to enable payments to the Department of Commerce for such clients. We are passionate about empowering our customers with targeted advanced digital initiatives that add value to their partnership with us.”

Pan Asia Bank said it has remained committed to digitalisation through strategic partnerships to enhance customer convenience. Recording consistent growth year after year, Pan Asia Bank marks an illustrious journey that has promoted financial security and fulfilled the aspirations of its customers while supporting the prosperity of the nation.
