Pan Asia Bank receives latest ISO 27001 certification for Information Technology

Pan Asia Bank was awarded the ISO 27001:2013 certification recently by Bureau Veritas, for adopting and implementing global standards and best practices to ensure the effectiveness, efficiency, confidentiality and integrity of its day-to-day IT operations. 

Already reputed as an entity on the cutting edge of banking technology, this certification further enhances Pan Asia Bank’s stature and strengthens the confidence level of customers and regulators on quality of the Bank’s IT and IT security, as well as its ability to manage confidential data and IT assets. Bureau Veritas is one of the leading certification bodies worldwide.

The ISO 27001:2013 certification is the highest international benchmark for information security management, and the world’s highest accreditation for information protection and security. The Information Security Management System (ISMS) provides a framework for establishing information security policies, procedures and associated practices, risk assessment and risk treatment, management of information assets, human resources security, operational security, physical and environmental security, communication and operational security, acquisition and maintenance of information systems, information security incident management, vulnerability management, compliance, security in supplier management and business continuity and disaster recovery.
