Ushering in a new era of Business Internet Banking, Pan Asia Bank has re-launched its ‘Business Internet Banking’ platform as a better and improved version of the current Corporate Internet Banking platform, extending convenience and ease-of-use to its valued customers. In this exclusive interview, Pan Asia Bank Senior Deputy General Manager Naleen Edirisinghe explains how the new Business Internet Banking version will infuse unprecedented convenience to corporate clients and SME owners. Q: What was the reason for re-launching the Business Internet Banking platform?
A: The world of business is fast-paced and to remain relevant, we have to adapt even faster. As a truly Sri Lankan bank, Pan Asia Bank partners many business owners, both big and small, through their entire business life-cycle and has supported some landmark businesses which have made the nation proud. So, we decided to upgrade the Corporate Internet Banking, incorporating the needs of business owners who would like to monitor and have control over their cash flow via Internet Banking. Considering that many businesspersons travel overseas and are on the move, they seek a comprehensive, fast and hi-tech website that empowers them to conduct all their financial transactions remotely. This is the reason why we redesigned the Business Internet banking website of Pan Asia Bank as an enhanced version, with better features and services to serve corporate clients better.
Q: What are the salient features of Pan Asia’s Business Internet Banking?
A: Internet Banking is becoming the norm, especially for business owners both big and small, who prefer the convenience of conducting transactions at the time and place of their own choosing. I would like to highlight the fact that a new company user can create a Business Internet Banking account online without needing to visit the branch.
One main aspect is the high security feature we offer – the multi-level authorisation, which ensures watertight security and privacy. Once the customer is logged in, they can enjoy Business Internet Banking services such as fund transfers to any local banks and even setup a standing order online. Further, the new Business Internet Banking allows them to be in touch with the bank with an in-built secure messaging option.
Customers can also perform fund transfers and bill payments whilst passing it through the necessary approval process without having to visit the bank or the merchant. They can even set up and manage scheduled transactions and request for cheque books and Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) without having to visit the bank. With more and more transactions becoming paperless, we are pleased to empower our customer base with this digital service.
Q: What is the difference between internet banking platforms offered for individuals and businesses?
A: There are multiple level authorisations in the Business Internet Banking for added security. The companies can create their own accounts in the Business Internet Banking platform without having to visit the bank branch which saves time and resources.
Q: How can a business owner avail of this facility?
A: They can download the Business Internet Banking application form from the Pan Asia Bank website and hand over the required documents to their nearest Pan Asia Bank branch. They can also directly contact Pan Asia Bank Business Internet Banking Unit via (011) 4667703 for any inquiries. Also, there is no fee involved to conduct transactions over Pan Asia Bank’s Business Internet Banking.
Q: What are your target customer segments who can avail this facility?
A: The new Pan Asia Business Internet Banking solution is ideal for our corporate clientele consisting of sole proprietorships, partnerships, clubs and societies, NGOs, limited liability companies etc., who have welcomed the new features which will help them to fulfil their business needs and manage their accounts and cash flows.
