Allowances to be paid to senior citizens, people with special needs, kidney patients

Arrangements have been made to complete the distribution of pensions and special allowances today, according to the President’s Media Division (PMD).

Pension payments will be made through the Grama Niladhari officers of the area on Monday, 6 April, the statement said.

Allowances will be given to senior citizens, individuals over the age of 100, persons with special needs, and patients suffering from kidney disease.

The Department of Agrarian Development and Agriculture Research Production Assistants will deliver pensions for farmers and fisherman.

In addition to the distribution of the above-mentioned allowances, the relevant authorities will also be distributing the pension payments to those recipients who were unable to obtain their pensions on 2 and 3 April.
