People’s Bank yesterday announced a groundbreaking partnership with the Credit Information Bureau (CRIB) to introduce a hassle-free and efficient method for customers to register and request their individual Credit Reports (MyReport) and Credit Score (CRIB Score).
‘MyReport’ is important for an individual or a company to have better understanding of the credit standing before applying for a loan. This essential and innovative service is now seamlessly integrated into the ‘People’s Pay’ wallet app, making it the first of its kind offered by a systemically important bank in Sri Lanka.
In today’s fast-paced digital era, People’s Bank continuously strives to meet the evolving needs of its customers. This latest feature is a testament to its commitment to delivering exceptional digital banking experiences, ensuring our customers can access critical financial information from the comfort of their homes, no matter where they are in the country.
People’s Bank CEO/GM Clive Fonseka said: “The introduction of this feature reflects our dedication to enhancing customer convenience and embracing digital transformation. In response to the unprecedented changes brought about by the pandemic, we have strategically invested in digital solutions to support our customers. With the integration of CRIB report requests into ‘People’s Pay’, we are setting a new benchmark for digital banking in Sri Lanka.”
Customers can now register and request their CRIB report (MyReport) directly through the ‘People’s Pay’ wallet app without any paperwork or additional verification steps. Once registered, obtaining a ‘MyReport’ is as simple as a few taps on the app. The secure and user-friendly platform ensures that customers’ information is protected while providing easy access to their credit reports and scores.
Registration for the CRIB MyReport service is offered free of charge. Customers can conveniently make online payments for the service through their People’s Bank accounts, further enhancing the seamless banking experience provided by People’s Pay.
People’s Bank said it has consistently been at the forefront of technological advancements in the banking sector. The integration of CRIB’s MyReport requests into ‘People’s Pay’ is another significant milestone in the bank’s journey towards becoming the leading digital banking provider in Sri Lanka.
