People’s Bank in collaboration with International Finance Corporation (IFC) is working towards strengthening the financial awareness and financial literacy of Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) by coordinating a series of special customer awareness programs. The second program of this series was held on 31 March at the People’s Bank Staff Training College, Colombo 5.
A selected team of Small and Medium-sized entrepreneurs in Colombo District were invited for the program and the session was conducted under the topic of ‘Adjusting the Business Plan during the Crisis’.
The session was facilitated by IFC Master of Training Lalinda Wickramarathne with the participation of People’s Bank Deputy General Manager – Enterprise Banking Wickrama Narayana, Assistant General Manager – SME, Development and Microfinance Chaminda Ihalakorala, Regional Manager – Colombo Outer Buddika Ranathungage, Assistant Regional Manager Harindrani Abayawickrama, and Senior Manager – SME Development Chamari Perera, with other officials of the bank.
International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank group, is working closely with People’s Bank to develop entrepreneurship among MSMEs especially via training and capacity building.
