People’s Bank promotes LankaQR facility in Kurunegala

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka launched another LankaQR promotional program in Kurunegala city and People’s Bank also participated in this program to raise awareness about the LankaQR payment system via People’s Pay app.

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka introduced the Lanka QR, the unique payment system to revolutionise the payment culture in the country by introducing a fast, secure and low-cost digital payment system islandwide.

The event was graced by CBSL Deputy Governor N.W.G.R.D. Nanayakkara and CBSL Assistant Governor D. Kumaratunge. People’s Bank Chief Digital Officer Mangala Kariyawasam, Kurunegala Regional Manager D.M.D Dissanayake, Assistant Regional Managers Ruwan Gnanathilake, Nishada Gunathilaka and Karuna Herath, Branch Managers, Business Promotion Officers of the Gampaha Region and the staff of the People’s Bank branches participated in this event.
