People’s Bank wins people’s choice for 14th consecutive year at SLIM-Nielsen Peoples Awards 2020

People’s Bank reaffirmed its status by securing the People’s Service Brand of the Year and People’s Banking Service Provider of the Year awards for the 14th consecutive year at the recently concluded SLIM-Nielsen Peoples Awards 2020. 

The SLIM-Nielsen Peoples Awards is the country’s main award ceremony which annually appreciates and rewards the true choice of the people and is organised by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) and leading global information and measurement company AC Nielsen.

Newly-appointed People’s Bank Acting Chief Executive Officer and General Manager M.A. Bonniface Silva and Retail Banking SDGM K.B. Rajapakse, together with the corporate and executive management of People’s Bank, were present at the awards ceremony to accept the awards.

Securing twin accolades for the 14th consecutive year is the best indication of the level of trust which the entire nation has placed in the bank and is a point of immense pride for the entire People’s Bank team, as it is its hard work and dedication that have helped the bank reach the pinnacle of the banking industry.

Spanning the country with a widespread branch network, it now serves over 10 million customers by operating Self Banking Units (SBUs) 24x7, 365 days a year. People’s Bank has already taken major steps to introduce a diversified digital banking experience to customers from all walks of life by delivering ease, speed, efficiency and convenience at every point of interaction. Demonstrating its competencies in the discipline of IT security, the bank recently won the highest international accreditation for information protection and security – ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification - and will continue with the same standard in the near future as well.
