Working to make the insurance buying process more seamless for its customers, and potential customers, the Fairfirst Online Shop has radically reduced the many stages customers have to go through to buy a policy.
The most exciting feature of the shop however is that unlike the traditional comprehensive policy designed by insurers, the Fairfirst Online Shop empowers the customer to design their own motor policy. Customers can now buy insurance based on affordability and what parts of their vehicle they actually want insurance for.
With operations beginning back in April, the Online Shop during this initial phase, has motor insurance as its key offering. The shop will introduce a fresh range of insurance products from health and travel to pet insurance and other lifestyle driven insurance covers in the coming months.
Taking a proactive stance in understanding consumers and their individual needs, Fairfirst Insurance is the first stand-alone General Insurer to introduce a fully-fledged online platform for online purchasing. The shop offers cover plans ranging from the very basic third party cover, to the total loss cover, the comprehensive cover or the make your own plan. Head of Marketing and Digital Solutions Sasith Bambaradeniya commented, “In Sri Lanka tech and insurance are two words that work in isolation. Despite the consumer behaviour shifts other product and service categories have seen, when it comes to insurance people are still comfortable with the traditional purchasing channels. With the Fairfirst Online shop, we want to minimise that discomfort people experience when buying online and create a more organic shift to online purchasing within the industry.”
Also speaking on the launch of the Online Shop was Managing Director and CEO of Fairfirst Dr. Sanjeev Jha: “We are keen on exploring what works and doesn’t work for people. The Online Shop not only offers creative digital propositions, it also allows them to have a more personalised and engaging experience with us.”
Among the top General Insurance companies of Sri Lanka, Fairfirst serves individuals, businesses and institutions across this beautiful island through a versatile workforce spread across a comprehensive branch network, affinity partners and leading brokers in the market.
Fairfirst Insurance is also part of the Canadian based Fairfax Group. Fairfax, through its subsidiaries, has an international insurance and reinsurance business with a global underwriting reach, longstanding relationships and a broad product range. Fairfax has a strong foothold in the growing insurance and reinsurance markets of Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Brazil.
