Rasanja Perera, CFA
TWC Capital, a leading corporate advisory firm, yesterday announced the appointment of Rasanja Perera, CFA as its new Chief Executive Officer.
TWC Capital offers transaction advisory services for mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance advisory for raising equity and debt capital, business valuations, and debt restructuring. Rasanja succeeds in this role following a highly successful tenure as Senior Vice President of Investments at TWC, where his strategic leadership and expertise were pivotal in advancing the firm’s growth and performance.

Perera brings extensive experience of 17+ years in corporate finance advisory services, having held senior positions across prominent financial institutions prior to joining TWC. His previous roles include Corporate Finance Manager at Global Rubber Industries, Associate Director at CIMB Investment Bank and Assistant Group Treasurer at Richard Pieris and Company PLC, where he managed capital raising, investment strategies, and key M&A transactions. Notably, as CIMB Head of Corporate Finance, he led high-profile deals such as TPG Capital’s 2013 acquisition of a majority stake in Union Bank of Colombo, demonstrating his expertise in executing complex financial transactions.

In his new role, Perera will lead TWC Capital’s highly experienced executive team including
Senior Vice President Charith Udugama, CFA, with 8+ years of experience in corporate finance, equity and debt capital markets, under the guidance of Non-Executive Director Anarkali Moonesinghe, a seasoned investment banking professional with 16+ years of experience in European and Asian markets, Executive Director and Group General Counsel Aritha Wickramasinghe, (formerly Clifford Chance, UK), acclaimed legal expert recognised globally for his impact on finance and PPP and Senior Advisor/ Veteran private equity specialist Steven Enderby.
TWC Capital is currently serving as buy-side transaction advisors for two cross-border deals in the tourism and F&B sectors, and as sell-side advisors on transactions in the agriculture sector. They are also sole financial advisors to major corporates in Sri Lanka and India, helping to raise over $ 100 million in equity and debt from development financial institutions.
