Recognition for contribution to the banking industry

HNB and Commercial Bank of Ceylon former Chairman and DFCC former Director Dinesh Weerakkody receives the Apex Award for Banking and Finance

The Organisation of Professional Associations (OPA) of Sri Lanka held its third National APEX awards on 16 August, at the Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel, Colombo. President Ranil Wickremesinghe was the Chief Guest and Speaker of Parliament Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena was the Guest of Honour. The Apex lifetime award is presented to eminent professionals in Sri Lanka who have contributed to the development of their own field of professions and to the society and achieved the pinnacle of their professional career. The OPA has 43 member associations with 50,000 plus professionals in various fields.
