Richard Ebell joins HNB Assurance Board

Richard Ebell has joined the Board of HNB Assurance PLC as an Independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 16 June 2023.

Ebell is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Sri Lanka and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK with a Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK.

He worked at Hayleys PLC for 32 years, leaving as Finance Director in 2009, and at Loadstar (now part of the Michelin Group) as Chief Financial Officer for 2 years after that gaining varied experience through those engagements.

He has served as an Independent Non-Executive Director on the Boards of several listed and regulated entities over the last 14 years.

He was Senior Independent Director of Cargills Bank prior to his appointment as Chairman of the Bank in January 2023.
