SEC, CFA Society Sri Lanka renew MoU to strengthen capital market development

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) and CFA Society Sri Lanka have announced the successful renewal of their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signifying a strengthened commitment to fostering the development of the capital market.

On the occasion of signing the MoU, SEC Chairman Faizal Saliah said: “The SEC is pleased to continue our collaboration with CFA Society Sri Lanka through the renewal of this MoU. Together, we aim to drive improvements in the capital market and enhance market integrity, and transparency, as well as promote the adoption of the highest standards and practices within the investment industry.”

CFA Sri Lanka President Aruna Perera also expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership and the potential it holds for the capital market of Sri Lanka.

“CFA Society Sri Lanka is delighted to sign this MoU with the SEC. We firmly believe in the power of collective efforts to achieve positive outcomes. By working together, we can contribute significantly to the growth and development of Sri Lanka’s capital market, fostering an environment of trust and excellence,” he said.

The collaboration between the SEC and CFA Society Sri Lanka will serve as a catalyst for strengthening investor confidence, supporting sustainable economic growth, and elevating the overall financial landscape of the nation.
