Sanasa Life and General Insurance 2023 awards recognises high-performing achievers

The awards ceremony for Sanasa Life and General Insurance 2023 was held at the Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo on 3 September. 

As in previous years, the ceremony was to recognise high-performing staff members of Sanasa Insurance within an islandwide network of branches. An organisation’s success rests solely on the dedication and passion of its staff. 

Sanasa Insurance has revolutionised the field of insurance in Sri Lanka. Its steady growth, currently placing the company at seventh place within the top 10 insurance companies in Sri Lanka, speaks volumes of Sanasa Insurance’s success. The objective of this annual awards ceremony is to reward and motivate Sales Champions. The success of their achievements is celebrated for its contribution towards making Sanasa Life Insurance a formidable force in its field.

The grand ceremony, attended by 500 employees, recognised the exceptional contributions of staff from branches nationwide. Presiding over the ceremony as Chief Guest was Founding Chairman Dr. P.A. Kiriwandeniya. His simple but powerful message of the ethic of dedicated service towards the job you do was truly an inspiration for everyone. This is the cornerstone that instils a deep-rooted work ethic in all Sanasa Life Insurance staff. Sanasa Insurance Chairman P. Gajendra and Managing Director Indika Kiriwandeniya, along with members of the Director Board, also graced this prestigious occasion. 

The proceedings were set against a background of spectacular lighting effects filled with dazzling performances of renowned singers and dancers, creating an unforgettable experience for the audience. Adding to the vibrant atmosphere of this gala occasion was the captivating dramatic performance presented by the staff of Sanasa Life Insurance, which was the highlight of the event’s entertainment segment.

Performance awards were selected based on categories such as ‘Best Sales Promotion Officer’, ‘Best Team Leader’, ‘Best Branch Manager’, ‘Best Renewal Officer’, ‘Best Regional Manager’, ‘Best Cluster Manager’, ‘Best Under Writer,’ and many more. Of these key awards, the Dickwella branch emerged as the winning recipient of the highly sought-after ‘Best Branch of the Year’ accolade. 

Another highlight of the event was the ‘Wall of Legends’. The wall displayed images and a short description of all the best performers in the year 2022. These top performers were recognised as Sales Legends, further emphasising the importance of recognition for performance par excellence. 

In addition, another unique feature was the presentation of loyalty awards to non-sales staff. Those who had dedicated 10 years or more as loyal employees to Sanasa Life Insurance were recognised for their unwavering and dedicated service. Along with the conclusion of the Sanasa Insurance Awards Ceremony 2023 comes the success stories and achievements of a dedicated staff who have given their best and gone beyond the call of duty.
