Senaratne Insurance Brokers celebrate ruby anniversary

In September, Senaratne Insurance Brokers celebrated their 40th anniversary, of providing dedicated professional advice in facilitating the placement of Risk Transfer Insurance solutions both in this country and overseas. 

Their adherence to strict ethical practices, throughout these 40 years, can best be described, in the words of what the Romans say, i.e. ‘abeunt studia in mores’ – practices zealously, pursued passing into habits! Recognition was forthcoming internationally on Senaratnes’ being admitted to the exclusive ranks of the global elite in insurance broking, when endowed in 2017 with ‘Corporate Chartered Status’ by the Chartered Insurance Institute in the United Kingdom, under empowerment of the Privy Council.  

This appointment, the first in South Asia is the benchmark of professional excellence and integrity, a proud achievement for Sri Lanka. As an employee-centric company and with the firm belief that the responsibility for reaching this pinnacle of professionalism lies fairly and squarely on their shoulders, it was a fitting reward that an opportunity should be created for fun and frolics ‘out of the box’. 

Accordingly, the entire staff together with their families enjoyed a fun-filled weekend at a five-star beach hotel, which included presentation of gifts to the children present, as well as an evening party, complete with a band, at which event, valuable prizes were also distributed. As is evident from the photograph, it was clearly a happy and enjoyable celebration of not only achieving this goal of 40 years, but also a commitment, towards reaching even higher levels of technical competence and business capability, in the context of those immortal words by Henry Ford who said: “Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress and working together is success”.
