Senior Banker Kumar Mayadunne appointed to BOC Board

Senior Banker Kumar Mayadunne has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Bank of Ceylon with effect from February as per a Colombo Stock Exchange disclosure.

Mayadunne, a veteran banker with over 45 years of banking experience, has held several senior positions at Standard Chartered Bank, People’s Bank, Nations Trust Bank and SDB Bank and served as a Consultant with Ernst & Young. He was also an Independent Non-Executive Director of Indra Finance Ltd. 

The Bank of Ceylon Board of Directors now comprises Ronald C Perera PC, Chairman, Kumar Mayadunne, Prakash Schaffter and K.A. Vimalenthiraraja. Senarath Bandara is CEO/GM.
