Sinhaputhra Finance given chance to implement capital augmentation plan by CB

The Central Bank said yesterday that it had decided to provide Sinhaputhra Finance with an opportunity to implement their proposed capital augmented plan.

In a statement, the Central Bank said that further to press notices being published on 8 and 9 September 2019 on the regulatory actions taken against Sinhaputhra Finance, the bank’s Monetary Board, in the interest of depositors, would provide the company with an opportunity to implement its proposed capital augmentation plan within the stipulated timeframe.
