Sri Lanka Insurance holds knowledge sharing forum for insurance brokers

Sri Lanka Insurance holds a knowledge sharing forum for insurance brokers operating in Sri Lanka to raise awareness on products and services Sri Lanka Insurance offers.

The knowledge-sharing forum was held on 23 February at Galadari Hotel with the participation of 42 insurance brokers operating in the Sri Lankan insurance market.

During the knowledge sharing forum insurance brokers were introduced to new insurance solutions and services launched to serve various consumer segments in the market.

Sri Lanka Insurance Chief Information Officer Aloka Jayawardana, Chief Officer General Insurance Priyantha Perera and several other members of the management of SLIC participated for the event.

Insurance Brokers are one of the most crucial and influential stakeholders of Sri Lanka’s insurance industry with 67 insurance brokers operating in the market. The knowledge sharing forum was organised in recognising the need of creating a platform to exchange information with the brokers and the front-line staff of the brokering firms.

The forum specially provides information and support for the operational staff of the insurance brokering firms to explore new avenues and generate new business opportunities to extend insurance services to customers.
