Sri Lanka Insurance inaugurates business operations for 2020

The inauguration of Sri Lanka Insurance business operations for year 2020 took place on 1 January at Sri Lanka Insurance head office with the participation of Chairman, Board of Directors, corporate management and the staff of SLIC.

The event comprised religious observations performed by religious leaders of all four religions.

Speaking at the gathering Chairman Jagath Wellawatta noted: “As the pioneering insurance company in Sri Lanka we are in the forefront to inculcate the importance of insurance to the masses as a national responsibility on our shoulders. We are armed with knowledge, skills, human resources and new technology. We will further strengthen internal capabilities to serve the nation through innovative and affordable insurance solutions which cater to all Sri Lankans. Sri Lanka Insurance will be shifting paradigms in the insurance industry and we strive to continue providing the best protection for Sri Lankans.”

In his speech Chief Executive Officer Chandana L. Aluthgama noted: “2019 witnessed a challenging year and Sri Lanka Insurance has been able to conquer challenges through hard work and team spirit. We have made remarkable achievements throughout this year in terms of life and non-life business goals, sustainable corporate goals, business process reengineering, new product developments, training and development and employee relations. As we are heading to the year 2020, we are aiming towards achieving excellence in all aspects and grow as a powerful force united by the goal to provide exceptional service level to our valuable customers.”
