Sri Lanka Insurance unveils Wealth Plus short-term investment for long-term protection

Sri Lanka Insurance has introduced a range of investment plans to its customers while providing protection for its policyholders.

One of the investment plans SLIC has introduced in recent times to the market is the Sri Lanka Insurance Wealth Plus plan. It is an ideal insurance solution for a customer who is looking for a short-term investment plan with a long-term protection. 

The unique feature of the Wealth Plus plan is that the policyholder has the flexibility of paying premiums for a short period of 3, 5 or 7 years. The policy term can be chosen by the policyholder to be 10, 15 or 20 years. The Sum assured of the Wealth Plus plan will increase by 5% annually on simple interest basis and at maturity the policyholder will receive the increased sum assured together with the declared bonus. In the event of an unfortunate demise of the policyholder the beneficiaries will receive a 125% of the increased sum assured along with the declared bonus.

Wealth Plus plan also allows the policyholder to add their spouse to the policy and customise their cover with additional covers to enhance their protection such as accident death benefit, family protection unit, total permanent disability due to accident, total permanent disability due to sickness and critical illness cover. In addition to the above mentioned covers the policyholder can further enhance their protection with a range of health covers offered by SLIC. The insurance policy is open for anyone between 18 and 60 years of age. Payments can be made Annually, Half yearly, quarterly or monthly as per the convenience of the policyholder.
