Team Bancassurance of Union Assurance celebrates success at Annual Awards 2017 in Jakarta

Top achievers of the Union Bancassurance Team were rewarded for their achievements at the recently held Union Assurance Annual Awards for 2017, at Hotel Grand Mercure Jakarta, Indonesia. The event brought together an extraordinary group of high-performing individuals, at an exceptional venue, for an evening of acclamation, fellowship, and entertainment. 

The achievers were rewarded in four distinct categories, Platinum Plus, the highest possible accolade one can receive for exceptional performance, followed by the Gold awards and Silver awards, each corresponding to a level of achievement and aspiration. The members of the Bancassurance team put in an excellent showing at the event and claimed an emphatic victory with fifty-five members being awarded, including 16 MDRT members.  

Following the exceedingly animated occasion, 43 winners were flown overseas for a few days of frolic and adventure on the beautiful island of Bali. The unforgettable times involved plenty of enjoyment all around. It also added to the morale of the team, as they realised that their daily endeavors aren’t just remunerated, but also recognised and rewarded. 

Union Assurance’s Bancassurance operations have shown impressive growth over the past few years and 2017 was an exceptional year, with significant growth in Gross Written Premium and New Business.

Union Assurance’s Bancassurance operations entered into a partnership with Seylan Bank to offer Life Insurance solutions to customers of Seylan Bank. Having five bank partners makes UA the largest Bancassurance provider in Sri Lanka. 

Assistant General Manager Bancassurance Samantha Herath speaking of the event had this to say: “Last year we saw an impressive growth in business. We were successful in totally digitalising the Bancassurance business with the introduction of the Digital Agency Toolkit (DAT) and a fully digitalised Lead Management System (LMS). We also introduced the cashless premium payment system, which enables a seamless service to our customers when collecting premiums. We were able to celebrate this success in Jakarta and Bali along with our star performers, in commemoration of the many hard-won successes they have achieved over the year.”
