‘Techniques of Securities for Bank Lending’ goes digital

M.C.V. Rajanathan, a senior banker with five decades of exposure in banking, having commenced his banking career with HNB, released the digital version of his publication titled ‘Techniques of Securities for Bank Lending with an Insight to Life and Times of a Banker’. The original print version was launched in October 2017 at the Centre for Banking Studies, Central Bank of Sri Lanka in the presence of a galaxy of bankers.

Rajanathan, in keeping with the present trend of digitalisation, has ventured and released the digital version of his publication with an updated version. This will be of immense benefit to present day Bankers as with a click of a button they could get into the specific area of interest while processing a facility with greater emphasis on assets pledged as security. The digital version also incorporates the entire proceedings of the official launch and valuable speeches made by Legends of Banking which will be of interest to the Bankers. 

This publication carries all  essential tools a Banker should look into in appraising Credit facilities towards ensuring the safety of the exposure and highlights the important techniques to be used by Bankers prior to the disbursement of credit facilities towards safe guarding the interest of the Institution which is paramount. In addition, it gives an insight to the difficult journey of Bankers of yesteryears in the absence of advanced technology which present day bankers are fortunate to enjoy.

The digital version was officially launched at the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL) on 3 December in the presence of the Director-General and the Management staff of IBSL. All sale proceeds of this publication go to the Sri Lanka Cancer Society towards assisting a worthy cause. The print and digital version of this publication are available at the IBSL.
