Empowering people and businesses for 30 years with innovative and convenient banking services, Seylan Bank has organised a series of island-wide religious observances to commemorate its 30-year anniversary. As a first initiative, a pirith pooja was held at the bank’s headquarters to invoke blessings upon the staff, valued customers and other stakeholders of the bank.

Established in 1987, Seylan Bank opened its doors for business on 24 March 1988, in Colombo Fort, Sri Lanka’s traditional banking district. From its very inception, the bank has lived up to its promise of being a ‘Bank with a Heart’ by revolutionising banking services with its unique and innovative service offerings.

The meritorious ceremony was held with the participation of Seylan Bank Chairman Ravi Dias, Director/CEO Kapila Ariyaratne, the corporate management and other members of the staff of the bank.

Renowned for being a bank that exemplifies the true values of the bank’s tagline ‘Bank with a Heart’, Seylan Bank takes pride in itself of becoming the bank that has served Sri Lanka for 30 years with continuous improvements in financial stability, resilience, and trust.

Driving with a strong vision to be the best financial service provider in Sri Lanka recognised by all stakeholders, Seylan Bank will continue its value creation by uplifting and enabling its customers to fulfil their aspirations whilst instilling the virtue of saving among the people; especially among children and adults.
