Thimal appointed to DFCC Board

Thimal Perera has been appointed as an Executive Director of DFCC Bank PLC with effect from 1 July. He is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of DFCC Bank PLC since 15 June 2017. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and a finalist of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants CCIMA) UK.

Perera possesses extensive experience in banking at senior positions, having been with the HSBC Group, both in Sri Lanka and overseas, the Commercial Bank of Qatar, Barclays Bank PLC, UAE and at Hatton National Bank.

He is a Director of Acuity Partners Ltd, Synapsys Ltd., and Acuity Stock Brokers Ltd. He has also served as a board member of HNB Assurance PLC, HNB General Insurance Ltd. and HND Grameen Finance Ltd. Perera also holds 16,800 shares in DFCC.
