AIA empowers insurance students

AIA Insurance granted a scholarship for excellence in insurance studies to the most outstanding final year student in the Department of Insurance and Valuation at the Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, for the fifth consecutive year. This year the scholarship was awarded to Suneetha Padmini who received a six month internship opportunity and a monthly allowance during her internship. “AIA takes pride in recognising, and inspiring excellence in insurance among students at the Wayamba University which has the distinction of being the first university to offer a Degree in Insurance in the country,” said AIA Insurance Deputy Chief Executive Officer Upul Wijesinghe, who presented the scholarship certificate. AIA Insurance has also granted internship opportunities to four other students from the Department of Insurance and Valuation, Wayamba University this year.
