AIA makes motor claims amazingly simple

AIA Insurance has taken motor claims settlements to new heights by partnering with Sampath Bank. 

Now, customers who are entitled to receive motor claims can obtain the cash from any of the bank’s 342 ATMs across the country.  The new claims settlement process for AIA’s motor customers is fast as well as very convenient and the policyholder does not need to have any bank account at all.  



Explaining the new motor claims settlement process, AIA General Insurance Lanka Ltd. Deputy CEO Tanuj Edward said: “All we need is our policyholder’s NIC number and mobile number.  A system generated confidential PIN number is sent via SMS that enables the policyholder to withdraw cash up to Rs. 40,000 from any Sampath Bank ATM.  If the claim is more than that, the customer can easily obtain the balance amount over the counter at the bank.”

“This hassle-free claim settlement process is a new value addition we have launched to make it easier to do business with AIA,” said Suren Perera, Head of Marketing at AIA Insurance.



“We are constantly initiating more and more ways to make life convenient for our customers and this adds to our extensive range of innovative service enhancements. This advanced process eliminates the need for a motor customer to visit our offices to collect a claim or await a settlement cheque. This certainly adds value to their overall claim experience.”
