AIA Sri Lanka scores a big six in USA

AIA Sri Lanka won six awards from the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) at the 2012 Vision Awards Annual Report Competition. AIA’s Annual Report was ranked No. 14 among the top 100 worldwide and was ranked No. 5 in the Asia Pacific region. The 2012 Vision Awards Annual Report Competition drew the largest number of submissions ever. More than 6,000 entries representing over 24 countries were received, nine of the 10 largest members in the Fortune 500 have participated in LACP competitions. AIA’s Annual Report was on the theme ‘Born in Asia, Built to Last’ and was illustrated with classic black and white photographs of famous long-lasting monuments in the country including the Independence Memorial Hall, Sigiriya Rock Palace, Galle Fort and the Victoria Dam in Kotmale. It included a sustainability report in compliance with the Global Reporting Initiative version 3.1 spelling out the company’s contribution to customers, shareholders, Wealth Planners, community, employees and the environment. The Annual Report was designed and produced by Emagewise. Chief Executive Officer of the company Shah Rouf said: “The fact that AIA Sri Lanka was ranked 14 in a worldwide contest with over 6,000 entries illustrates the exceptional capability of our dedicated team. This level of professionalism is the ingredient that has earned us the trust and confidence of our customers.”
