Allianz Lanka enters Tissamaharama

Allianz Lanka confirmed this year’s strategic focus with the opening of its Tissamaharamaya branch, its second branch in the South.

Whereas the Company’s focus had been on the burgeoning economies of the North in the aftermath of the civil conflict, current plans for sustainable growth have shifted focus to consolidating southern presence.

 “We are delighted to expand to such a historic city, which was once the ancient capital of the Ruhunu province. In view of the expansion drive now taking place in the Hambantota district, Tissamaharamaya will undoubtedly be restored to its former glory,” affirmed Allianz Lanka CEO Surekha Alles.

“Our presence here ensures that the people of the Tissamaharama region can now have the same financial security enjoyed by our customers in many parts of the country,” she added.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Guest of Honour, AGA of Tissamaharama, Z Siriwardena, who expressed his satisfaction that a multinational insurer of the stature of Allianz had chosen to support the economic development of the Hambantota district.

The Tissamaharamaya branch is located at 114, Hambantota Road, and is headed by Mr. Saman Guruge. Allianz in celebration of its advent to the region, Allianz Lanka supplied a school in Tissamaharamaya with much-needed school materials and equipment for extra-curricular activities.
