Allianz Lanka expands to Matara

Allianz Lanka further expanded its branch network in the south with the opening of its fourth southern branch in Matara, one of the major commercial hubs in the country and the administrative capital of the Matara District.

This reinforces the company’s strategic focus to service its fast growing cliental in the southern province and brings Allianz Lanka’s branch tally to 14 branches located islandwide.

The Matara branch is located at 31/1, Anagarika Dharmapala Mawatha and is headed by Zonal Manager H.M. Kulatunge.

Allianz Lanka Matara branch is equipped with all facilities for Life and General business and serviced by an experienced team of sales, front office and underwriting professionals trained to internationally benchmarked Allianz standards of customer service and underwriting.

In keeping with its mission of understanding the insurance needs of consumers and translating them into affordable products that deliver value for money, Allianz Lanka introduced its newest Life insurance product ‘Allianz Vishrama Suwa’ during the year, which has already proved popular among its ever widening client base.

This is an extremely flexible policy, giving clients the choice of selecting their retirement age and the duration of the retirement benefit period. It also enables clients to choose whether or not they preferred to receive the benefit as a lump sum payment or in installments.  Many optional benefits can be added on as well, at the clients’ discretion.

Allianz Lanka continued its strong performance into the first half of this year, with the Life company achieving a remarkable GWP growth of 60% YOY and the General company recording a PBT of Rs. 135 million, a 40% growth over last year’s figures.
