Amana Bank introduces Easy Payment Plan

Amana Bank recently introduced its very own Easy Payment Plan to facilitate salaried customers to purchase furniture, household and personal appliances in a convenient ‘pay as you use’ mechanism. The plan which is offered to purchase products valued from Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 300,000, allows the customer to pay for the asset on a monthly installment basis up to 36 months. Commenting on this new financial solution, the Bank’s VP Consumer Banking and Strategic Marketing Siddeeque Akbar said: “Our customers were in need of a financial solution to purchase products such as computers, smart phones, electronics, furniture’s, appliances, etc. To cater to this need we have come up with a Sharia-compliant financing scheme which is convenient and straight forward. We intend to tie up with suppliers and agents of international and local brands to offer this scheme to the public.” Salaried customers interested in purchasing products through this scheme can visit any of Amana Bank’s 23 branches with the relevant information of the product to be purchased and obtain assistance. Powered by the stability and the support of its strategic shareholders Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad, the Islamic development bank based in Saudi Arabia and AB Bank in Bangladesh, the bank is making an aggressive journey in the Sri Lankan banking industry and is focused on capitalising the growing market potential for their unique banking model across the country.
