With a view to further add value and enhance customer convenience, Amãna Bank recently launched its very own Visa Debit Card. Amãna Bank’s Managing Director/CEO Faizal Salieh and Chief Operating Officer Mohamed Azmeer issued the first lot of debit cards to a few key customers at an event held recently at the bank’s Corporate Office in Colombo 3.
Speaking at the launch, Salieh said: “We are happy to offer the convenience of VISA Debit Cards to our Current and Savings Account customers. The Visa Debit Card will provide easy access to their accounts from over two million ATMs in more than 200 countries and territories across the world while also being globally accepted at millions of merchant locations. The debit card will avoid the hassle of carrying cash while providing greater security, flexibility and convenience.”
Azmeer said: “As an additional security precaution, the bank has enabled its debit cards with smart chip technology. Smart chip cards offer greater security by storing and processing information securely, thereby ensuring our customers’ peace of mind when using the card. With the launch of the Visa Debit Card, we have paved the way for introducing many other new customer conveniences.”
Amãna Bank customers can obtain a debit card by walking in to any of the bank’s 24 branches located islandwide and submitting an application.
