Amãna Takaful expands northern footprint with Vavuniya office

Making its services available to the people in the Northern Province, Amãna Takaful opened its 23rd branch in Vavuniya recently.
Recognised for its resilience as a ‘Turnaround Brand’ at the recently-concluded SLIM Brand Excellence Awards, the company strengthens its presence in the Northern Province with the opening of the second branch in the province.
This development office was ceremoniously declared open by T.K. Rajalingam, President of Vavuniya Traders Association and Adel Hashim, General Manager Sales and Marketing, Amana Takaful PLC, in the presence of many dignitaries and well-wishers from the local business community and customers.
Amana Takaful first established its presence in the Northern Province by opening its branch in Jaffna earlier this year.
M.L Basheer, Senior Regional Manager Northern and Northern West, Amãna Takaful, commenting at the opening stated: “The new branch in Vavuniya will cater for the insurance needs of the people in the region going through rapid economic progress. We look forward to be a part of your progress which will help us to develop and associate with the people of the area.”
As a part of the opening ceremony the company gave away sports equipment to Mundu Murippu Mixed School Vavuniya and a wheelchair to Varo Orphanage, Vavuniya. Gnanasambandam, a leading businessman in the area, along with Fazal Ghaffoor, Chief Executive Officer, Amãna Takaful PLC, gave away the equipment.
The new Amãna Takaful office will provide tailor made insurance solutions to the vibrant and dynamic communities in and around Vavuniya. Amãna Takaful caters to all segments of society having its operations spread to cover all parts of the country including the Northern and Southern Provinces.
