An indication by authorities of further monetary policy easing towards the early part of the week saw secondary bond market activity increase as market sentiment became bullish. This was further supported by the fact that, commercial bank fixed deposit rates reflected a considerable decrease. This momentum gathered, was further supported by the decline in weighted averages at the weekly Treasury bill auction for a fifth consecutive week.
