Annual publication on Public Debt Management in Sri Lanka released

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has released its annual publication on Public Debt Management for

2011 – ‘Public Debt Management in Sri Lanka, Performance in 2011 and Strategies for 2012 and beyond’.

This publication provides information on the debt management strategies adopted in 2011, movements in debt stock during the year, costs and risks of the debt portfolio, primary and secondary market operations on government securities, performance of primary dealers and debt management strategy to be adopted during 2012-2016.

The publication also includes six special articles on timely important topics and the appendix provides a chronology of the debt market in Sri Lanka, a glossary of key words and a number of statistical tables giving data relevant to public debt and government securities for several years.

This publication is available in Sinhala, Tamil and English. It is priced at Rs. 200 per copy and available for sale at the Centre for Banking Studies, 58, Sri Jayawardenapura Mawatha, Rajagiriya, and the Provincial Offices of the Central Bank in Matara, Anuradhapura, Matale, Jaffna, and Trincomalee.
